Watts was born 28 September 1968. After her family relocated to Australia,
Watts made her film film debut there with For Love Alone (1986). She then
appeared in three television shows, Hey Dad.. (1990) as well as Brides of
Christ(91) as well as Home and Away (91), and Flirting (1991). Watts was a flop
as an actress when she first came to the United States. She acted in films with
a small budget and then was a professional actress. Her rise to fame
internationally was spurred by the part. Watts played the part of the
journalist who is depressed in The Ring, a horror film that was remade. For her
portrayal of a grieving mother , in the Alejandro film 21 Grams, she was
nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. Her popularity grew by playing
starring parts in I Heart Huckabees (2004), King Kong (2005), Eastern Promises
(2007) and The International (2009). Watts was also nominated for the Academy
Award as Best Actress for her performance in The Impossible (2012). In the
2010s, Watts played in films like Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014) St. Vincent
(2015), While We're Young (2016), The Glass Castle (2017) and Luce (2018).
Watts was also a mainstay in blockbuster films, appearing in Divergent
(2015)-2016.
