Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett (Canadian actress) is famous for her roles in movies such as Apartment Hunting' and Men with Brooms'. Born and raised in Spalding, Saskatchewan, she later moved to Alberta, Canada, from where she attended high school. She discovered an interest in acting in her teens. To receive further training in acting, she enrolled at the  National Theatre School located in Montreal and then attended the  Moscow Theatre School.' In 1996, she appeared in an supporting role in the Canadian series 'The Rez. She also appeared in series such as Ready or Not' and Forever Knight' that year. In the latter part of 1990, she made her film debut in the film titled Papertrail'. She later appeared in films such as ‘Men with Brooms’ or 'Cypher. In shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" and "Blue Murder," she also performed supporting roles. The actress was also seen in films until the 2000s. However the films she appeared in were smaller than her television ones. In 1998, she was also cast as the main role of Colleen Blessed on the Canadian drama series Power Play. The show ran for two seasons with 26 episodes. It received praise from critics and the public at large. The actress was nominated for the 'Gemini Award for her role in the show. Jude Lyon Matchett was her first child. She didn't reveal the name of the father of her son though. According to some sources, her ex-boyfriend is father to her son. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke began dating her in the mid-1990s. They got married in the month of October 1998. The marriage was not a success and they divorced in 2006.
